Soldier Field 10 Race Details
Experience the Soldier Field 10, where you’ll run through some of Chicago’s most iconic sights, including Soldier Field, the Museum Campus, and the stunning shores of Lake Michigan! Both the 10-Mile and 10K courses share the same scenic route, with the 10K participants turning around a bit earlier.
Your adventure begins inside Soldier Field, where you'll exit and head south along Special Olympics Drive. Then, you’ll make a turn onto Fort Dearborn Drive, passing beneath McCormick Place and continuing to 31st Street. From there, you’ll jog alongside DuSable Lake Shore Drive, reaching the turnaround point before retracing your steps back to Soldier Field, all while taking in breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan.
Upon your return, you’ll cross the finish line right at the iconic Soldier Field. Throughout the course, you’ll find well-stocked Aid Stations offering hydration, restrooms, and medical support if needed, ensuring you have everything to make your run enjoyable and safe!
The Soldier Field 10 utilizes a corral system to ensure a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Approximately two weeks before race day, you'll be assigned to a corral, which will be printed on your bib. Corrals will close 20 minutes before the race starts, with participants being sent off in waves every three minutes.
For the 10 Mile race, corrals will close at 6:40 AM, while the 10K corrals will close at 7:40 AM. Corral entrances are located through the Stadium Green (Tailgate Party). Allow yourself plenty of time and follow the signs to your respective corrals. The 10 Mile will have blue bibs and the 10K will have red bibs.
Please keep in mind that a pace of 15 minutes per mile (4 mph) is required to finish the event. If you fall behind this pace, we may not be able to provide course support, including aid stations, medical assistance, portable restrooms, and road closures. Additionally, local authorities and race organizers may ask you to switch to a shorter course or move to the sidewalk, where you'll need to follow regular traffic regulations.

Pacers will be provided for following finish times: 1:10, 1:15, 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:10.
*Note: Joining with a pacer does not supersede your corral assignment.
