runners crossing finish line
The Soldier Field 10 courses highlight the city’s biggest attractions including Soldier Field, the Museum Campus and the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan! Our 10-Mile and 10K courses follow the same routes with the 10K runners taking an earlier turnaround.

You will start inside Soldier Field, exiting the field and heading south along Special Olympics Drive. Next, you’ll turn on Fort Dearborn Drive under McCormick Place to 31st Street. You’ll run south alongside DuSable Lake Shore Drive until you reach the turnaround, where you’ll head back to the Soldier Field Stadium in the shadow of Chicago’s magnificent skyline and magnificent Lake Michigan views.

Once you arrive back at the stadium, you’re rewarded with a finish ON the famed field at the 50-yard line. Along the route, we’ve got your back with fully supported Aid Stations with hydration, restrooms and medical if needed.

Corrals

Soldier Field 10 uses a corral system to maintain a safe, fast, and fun course for all participants. Corrals will be assigned approximately two weeks prior to race day and will be printed on your bib. Corrals will close 20 minutes prior to the start of the race and will go off approximately every 3 minutes.

The 10 Mile start corrals will close at 6:40 AM and the 10K start corrals will close at 7:15 AM. Corral Entrances are at Gate O. All participants must be through the Corral Entrance at the time of their respective Corral Closure. Spectators will be allowed inside the stadium stands through Gate 4 on race morning.

Please note that a 15-minute-per-mile pace (4 mph) is required to complete this event. If you fall behind this pace, race organizers can no longer guarantee course support, including aid stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures. Local police and race organizers might also ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course or move onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.

Pacers

Fleet Feet Training x Chicago Endurance Sports will be providing pacers for the 10K and 10 Mile. Pacers can be found in the start corrals and will be holding a sign with their goal finish pace.

Pacers will be provided for following finish times: 1:10, 1:15, 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:10.
